Second Chair Conversation

More than 30 assistant pastors play important roles in our District family. Some of them are young pastors learning the ropes of ministry, while others are ministry veterans who serve with a wealth of experience. They oversee a variety of ministries and provide significant leadership in our local churches, but no matter what responsibilities they have, they all share one important point on their job description: they are responsible for overseeing a portion of the congregation under the leadership of the lead pastor, what some have called, "leading from the second chair."

On Tuesday, August 30, the District Office team is hosting a "second chair" conversation to explore the opportunities and challenges of leading as an assistant pastor. Our time together will include brief bits of practical training and plenty of helpful conversation. This event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and include lunch.
